Fusion 2006 - I am graduating!! [Apr. 3rd, 2006|01:17 am]
Hey.. everyone who cares.. thank you for reading! I read everyone on my friends' list.. if you want to know.. :)

I am graduating next month from NYP's School of Design (Diploma in Digital Media Design). The past three years have been so rewarding, enjoyable and wonderful. I meet people with the same drive and vision in Design. As I move on with life, I really am beginning to see light in it all. I was right to have withdrawn from NTU.

NYP Annual Design Graduation Show - Fusion 2006

Fusion 2006

Our graduation show (Fusion 06), which is also open to the public on 28th April and 29th April (27th April is for industry guests only), is coming soon. I would love to see YOU. It will be held at NYP's Auditorium.. Students' portfolio will be showcased in the show. Visit our graduation website to see some of the works put up there. Try to spot me too!! LOL!

Really, I will so appreciate your presence. If you happen to drop by, pls come up to me and say "Hello." :) We will take pictures, alright? It's for my keepsake.. :)

Love never ends. [Feb. 10th, 2006|07:38 am]
hello, wow.. been so long since i last post an entry here..

when i was younger, trips to my grandma's place in malaysia were more frequent. i was only about nine to ten. i stayed overnight in the same house where my father, aunts and uncles all grew up in. when you were young, you knew nothing about luxury or comfort. all you ever wanted was mere fun and a place to run. the house although pieced together with wooden planks (even the rooms were separated with just a large piece of wood), and abound with mosquitoes provided much fun for me and my brother. we would be in rooms next to each other and throw bolsters over the "walls". haha!

my third aunt was very into cross-stitch at a period. she would get all the yarn threads and the large piece of Aida cloth and start on her work. i got into it under her influence but as a child, i could only manage an Aida panel (this round, wooden thing). i remember my aunt finishing this piece of absolutely beautiful cross-stitch which is still being displayed in the new house back in malaysia today. the poem on her work was surrounded by roses and i would read the it over and over again in my mind when i was a kid. it goes like this..

Love is patient, Love is kind,
It does not envy, it does not boast,
It is not proud, It is not rude,
It is not self-seeking,
It is not easily angered,
It keeps no record of wrongs.

Love does not delight in evil,
but rejoices with the truth.

Love always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres.

Love bears all things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never ends.

it didn't mean anything to me as a kid but i like the way it ends. but as i grow up, i am beginning to see light in the words.

hush now... [Oct. 18th, 2003|06:45 am]
do you know that dreams are actually not dreams sometimes?

14 yrs later this still can't be erased from my mind.

i dreamt of my music book flying away from me. i still remember how it looked like. yellow cover, with a piano face and some cutesy human beings drawn in a cartoon way.

the very next day, the book was really gone. i thought that i might have misplaced it. but no. it just disappeared. the memory was so vivid that when we had to move, i purposely searched through every corner as we packed to make sure that it was just me who had misplaced the book - it may be at some corner of the house.

but no, it was gone.

a conversation with my tuition kid's mum a few mths back made me realise that it may not be a dream after all. i don't know how to explain it here but she is one of those who can always dream of things which are going to happen and then warn people abt it and help them. i told her about this incident along with several others and then she told me:

dreams are not always just dreams. you might be really there. spooky, isn't it?

pay to climb mountains. [Aug. 9th, 2003|12:49 am]
kids amuse me. as a tutor, i only know it too well. the stuffs they can come out with! i learn from them as much as they learn from me. anyway, one of the many examples goes like this...

student: teacher.. so which fac in uni usually earns more money?
me: oh, i figure it must have been law or medicine?
student: oh you mean in medicine they're trained to climb mountains to collect herbs?

take care, my friend. [Jun. 9th, 2003|11:06 pm]
[mood |mellowmellow]
[music |Greenwheel - Shelter]

hmm, a bunch of us sent tcz (one of my good friends from sec school) off on friday, it was all the normal things and we were just busy taking pictures and i was recording everyone's well wishes for him using the video function of my digicam. it only hit me when he hugged these 2 really young kids whom i suppose are his cousins or something, just before he entered the departure gate. that set me thinking, when he is finally back in SG for good, those kids would have grown up so much already..

among all the speeches, i find allan's the most meaningful. allan always says the wisest things. allan, limi & i got him a card and a snow cap. hope that everytime he wears it in the cold cold weather in germany, he would think of the pple in SG who will always be there for him.
